Programs I use, gizmos I’m giddy about, and other things I endorse.

My workflow is the result of years of iteration—and a fair amount of trial and error. Below is a living library of the software I write with, the gadgets I rely on, and the tools that help me maintain my momentum.

Workstation

  • Custom PC Build (Core i9 / RTX 3090 Ti)

I built this rig to handle anything I throw at it. It runs on a 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900KF with 64GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti. It’s overkill for writing Markdown, but essential for heavy multitasking and virtualization.

  • Samsung 990 PRO 2TB

Speed matters. I run my OS and active projects off NVMe drives to keep load times nonexistent.

  • Logitech G910 Orion Spark

I prefer a mechanical keyboard that can double as a command center. The programmable G-keys are vital for my workflow macros.

  • Logitech G502 HERO

The perfect mouse. It’s heavy, precise, and has enough buttons to map my most-used IDE shortcuts to my thumb.

  • Elgato Stream Deck

Not just for streaming. I use this to trigger Obsidian automations, control my smart home via Home Assistant, and manage window layouts.

Development

  • WebStorm / JetBrains IDEs

I’ve tried them all, but I always come back to JetBrains. Whether I’m in WebStorm for TypeScript or PHPStorm for backend work, the refactoring capabilities are unmatched.

  • Next.js & Vercel

My go-to stack. Next.js offers the best developer experience for React, and Vercel takes the headache out of deployment.

  • GitHub Copilot

It’s not just autocomplete; it’s an AI pair programmer that helps me stay in the flow, especially when writing boilerplate.

Productivity & Knowledge

  • Obsidian

The core of my "Second Brain." I manage a system called SPARTA here, using advanced templates to keep my life structured.

  • Obsidian Tasks

I migrated from TickTick to Obsidian Tasks to keep my to-dos integrated directly with my projects and daily notes.

  • Home Assistant

Running on my local network (via Nabu Casa), this connects my diverse hardware into a single, cohesive automation layer.

Music & Creative

  • Taylor 114ce

My primary acoustic. It has a bright, versatile tone that sits perfectly in a mix.

  • Fender Stratocaster & Gibson Les Paul

The standards. Between the Strat's single-coil chime and the Les Paul's humbucker growl, I can cover almost any genre.

  • Ibanez Talman

I keep this one tuned to Raised B-Standard (B-E-A-D-F#-B) for higher-register acoustic work and heavier writing sessions.

  • Line6 Helix Floor

This unit replaced a room full of amps. It models complex signal chains and allows me to switch from clean acoustic textures to high-gain distortion instantly.
